Many hundreds of years ago, the ambitious warrior Xu Wenwu took possession of a magical combat artifact - ten rings, with which he defeated all enemies and created a secret organization. For centuries, he raised an army and secretly interfered in the course of world history, but in 1996 he met a beautiful girl, a martial arts master of the Ta Lo village hidden from prying eyes, settled down and started a family.
San Francisco, 25 years later. The guy Sean works as an ordinary parking attendant, and spends his evenings at karaoke with his friend and colleague Kathy, who is a big fan of fast cars. One day, on the way to work, well-trained warriors attack their friends in order to take away the medallion presented to Sean by his mother.
